Facilities at Athenree Holiday Park

The facilities at Athenree Hot Springs & Holiday Park - your Waihi Beach accommodation - are clean and well maintained. The main attractions at our camping ground are our hot mineral pools, but there are a lot of other activities for you to enjoy.

Exceptional Facilities
The new covered BBQ and dining area next to the kitchen offers a fantastic spot to eat or to meet up with other campers for a chat. 

Our park benches offer a great spot to enjoy the beautiful views of Tauranga harbour - and make it more comfortable to keep an eye on the kids!

There is a laundry on the premises and, if you don’t feel like eating out, the communal kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. The games room and library are great places to spend some quiet time and at the park entrance you’ll find a playground for the children.

There are two ablution blocks at Athenree Hot Springs & Holiday Park, so there are plenty of showers (no charge!) and toilets available for our guests, along with hairdryers, hand-dryers and full length mirrors. The Motel Units and Deluxe Chalets have their own bathrooms and toilets and all have SKY TV. All communal facilities are kept clean and are checked regularly.

While staying with us at Athenree Hot Springs & Holiday Park, you can enjoy the following range of facilities and services:

• Reception hours: Summer: 8.00am – 7:30pm, rest of the year: 8.30am – 7.00pm
• Credit cards accepted: Visa and MasterCard
• Hot natural mineral pools are available from 8:30am to 7:30pm daily (pools are emptied and cleaned every night)
• Alfresco dining in our large covered outdoor dining and BBQ area 
• Telephone: A card phone is located outside the front entrance.
• High Speed Internet facilities are available in the camp kitchen, open from 6.30am  to 10.00 pm daily
• We are also a wireless 'hotspot' area 
• Messages are delivered to sites or units as they arrive
• Drinks, milk, icecreams and DVDs for hire are available from Reception
• Games Room/Library has an Air Hockey table and is open daily from 9.00am to 9.00pm
• TV Lounge is open from 8.00am to 10.00pm every day (with SKY Sports 1)
• A children’s playground is located at the park entrance
• Try out our new large, spring-free trampoline - safe, and great fun for young and old!
• We have three- and four-wheel Fun Cycles available for hire - loads of family fun!
• Petanque and badminton sets and volleyball are available from Reception
• The communal kitchen and BBQ area is open from 6.30am  to 10.00 pm daily
• We pride ourselves on the immaculate presentation of our ablution blocks
• Baby’s baths are available from the laundry
• There is a fish-cleaning area behind site 44 on the harbour front
• The dump station is located on the ring road around the Hot Pool complex
• Linen hire is available from the office during office hours
